Admission Criteria
Midlands Behavioral Health serves ages 12 and up who need short-term inpatient care for emotional or mental health needs.
• Anxiety disorders
• Suicidal thoughts or attempts
• Depressive Disorders
• Bipolar Disorders
• Posttraumatic stress disorder
• Schizophrenia
• Psychosis
Adolescent Program (Ages 12 -17)
Services include comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy with a licensed social worker, group therapy, medication management, and recreational therapy to promote healthy coping skills. Discharge planning begins at admission to ensure a smooth transition to ongoing care, with a dedicated parent liaison working closely with families to strengthen communication and support continuity at home.
Our adolescent unit is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of youth in crisis, offering compassionate care focused on safety, stabilization, and hope.
Adult Program
(Ages 18 and up)
Services include comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy with licensed clinicians, group therapy, medication management, and therapeutic recreational activities that support emotional regulation and coping skills. Discharge planning begins at admission to promote continuity of care and successful transition to appropriate outpatient or community-based services.
With specialized consideration for geriatric patients, our team is attentive to age-related concerns, medical complexity, and life transitions, ensuring care is respectful, supportive, and individualized. Our adult unit is focused on safety, stabilization, and compassionate care during times of crisis.
